TENTAZIONE (87) Softcore sleaze Sergio Bergonzelli style. In
Italian with NO subtitles, but plenty of hot nekkid Italian babes
and groovy camera angles!
BUY
THE 10 WONDERS OF LOVE (69) aka Le Dieci Meraviglie
Dell'amore. Another ultrarare import from our favorite maniac
Sergio Bergonzelli! This one's a wacky mondo style look at lust and
love as six university students explore the great big world of S-E-X
for a research project. Lots of trademark Bergonzelli weirdness
including a scene where one of the students comes home to find her
undergarments hanging all over the house and her classmates crawling
toward her wearing her panties on their heads! Good looking
letterboxed Italian language print.
BUY
1,001 NIGHTS (68) aka Sharaz; Le Escalvia del Paraiso.
Producer extraordinaire Sidney Pink presents this Arabian Nights
fantasy, set in Moorish Spain. Jeff Cooper portrays a wrongfully
deposed prince out to rid his kingdom of an evil dictator. Along
the way, he enlists the services of a beautiful if very flaky
female genie (Luciana Paluzzi). No Barbara Eden she, this genie
puts lots of preconditions on her servitude (magic spells can
only last five minutes and can only be performed before dawn,
etc.) and the two fall in love. Lots of stunts, beautiful sets
and costumes make this a Saturday afternoon favorite. Aimed at
children, there are still lots of erotic and kinky elements to
make this palatable for grownups. All the scantily clad harem
girls probably cheered up a lot of dads forced to sit through
this at kiddie matinees. To make sure all the bases are covered,
the muscular hero is crucified and whipped at one point and the
comedy relief gets into harem girl drag and is made to give a
massage to an obese eunuch! Truly, something for everyone.
BUY
TERROR (78) aka Last House on the Beach; La Settima
Donna. UNCUT print of this sleazy, gory rape and revenge number
from Franco Prosperi. A trio of on-the-run bankrobbers take refuge
in a remote mansion inhabited by a nun and her class of Catholic
schoolgirls. The three sickos amuse themselves by humiliating,
tormenting and raping the young girls while hiding from the law.
Stars Florinda Flavia Bolkan, Ray Lovelock, Flavio Andreini,
Sherry Buchanan and Laura Tanziani.
BUY
TERROR EXPRESS (80) aka La Ragazza del Vagone
Letto. Sadosexual shenanigans are the order of the day as three
psychotic thugs commandeer a railroad car and rape, torture and
brutalize its passengers. Eventually the victims turn the tables on
their captors, but not before a lot of really sick shit occurs. Fans
of The Night Train Murders will enjoy this grimy, sadistic
outing from Ferdinando Baldi. Letterboxed.
BUY
THAT MALICIOUS AGE (75) aka Quell’ eta’ Maliziosa;
La Lyceenne a Grandi. Luscious Gloria Guida stars as what
else? A teenage cocktease in this picturesque if somewhat pedestrian
drama that’s little more than an excuse to display her full frontal
charms. Like we’re complaining. Letterboxed Italian language print.
BUY
THEMROC (73) Hilariously tasteless French satire about a
factory worker whose mundane existence finally drives him off the
deep end. He turns his bedroom into a cave, has sex with his sister
and eats a cop! His crazy behavior catches on with the masses and
pretty soon all of Paris is following his lead! No dialogue is
spoken.
BUY
THEY CALL ME SHMIL (73) aka The Bull Buster;
Koreyim Li Shmil. Oi Vay! Here’s the
ultra-ultra-ultra-obscure English language print of this Israeli
action comedy starring Paul Smith (Sonny Boy, Crimewave) and
Uri Zohar (nothing you’ve ever heard of) as a pair of
Bud Spencer/Terence Hill wannabes who get kicked off the
kibbutz and head for Tel Aviv. There they run through a series of
misadventures involving food and/or fisticuffs, usually both.
Funnier than a minorah full of relighting candles and we loved the
opening credits with the Hasidic hoedown and shots of sexy, fruit
picking Jew babes.
BUY
THREE SWEDISH GIRLS IN HAMBURG
(80) aka Nympho
Girls; Drei Schwedinnen auf der Reeperbahn. Lovely Uta
Koepke stars in this Walter Boos leer-a-thon about, you
guessed it, three Swedish girls in Hamburg. Lots of unclad
Euro tarts who enjoy helping each other take showers (is it
really that difficult?) but aren’t big on shaving their
pits, along with lots of cool footage of Hamburg’s
Reeperbahn,
"the most sinful mile on Earth." Rare English language print
in nice quality. See also Train Station Pickups for
more of Boos’ oeuvre.
BUY
THE TOPLESS WAR (??) aka La Guerra dei Topless, La Donne e
Diavoli. Bizarre burlesque number from Italy about Lucifer
sending a cut-rate Martin and Lewis team topside in order to lure
women into wearing topless bathing suits! In between their efforts
the Prince of Darkness entertains his underlings by commanding
cuties to perform strip tease routines in Hell’s night club!
Letterboxed Italian language print.
BUY
TORMENT OF THE FLESH (65) aka Geissel des
Fleisches. Hilarious, thoroughly entertaining B&W "nudie
roughie" from, all places, Austria! An obsessed night club piano
player (Herbert Fux, best remembered as the executioner from Mark
of the Devil) stalks and strangles beautiful women because,
well, he just can’t help himself! All they have to do is show just a
leeetle too much skin and he can’t wait to get his Vienna fingers
around their necks. Directed with real flair by Eddy Saller (who’s
been called the "Austrian Russ Meyer") and with a great cheesy
soundtrack, this one could hold its own against any of the Times
Square fare of the same era. From the stark, noirish photography to
the cockeyed camera angles and leering close ups it’s got the whole
"look" down pat. Plus the women are prettier too! German language
but easy to follow and TOTALLY recommended.
BUY
TORRENTE: THE
DUMB ARM OF THE LAW (98) aka
Torrente el Brazo Tonto de la Ley. Disgustingly funny
Spanish black comedy about "Torrente" a racist, egotistical
and thoroughly amoral Madrid cop (he puts his wheelchair bound
father out on the street to panhandle) who winds up fighting
the Asian Mafia. Starring the extremely talented Santiago
Segura, who also wrote and directed. Letterboxed
Spanish language print with English
subtitles.
BUY
THE TOUCHABLES (68) Great overlooked fluff from the height of
the British Invasion. Sexy mod chicks kidnap a pop star and take him
to their pagan pleasure dome for a little tea and sympathy. Along
the way they run into gangsters, wrestlers, and Michael Caine? From
a screenplay by Donald Cammell!
BUY
TOUGH GUY (71) aka The Boxer; Counter
Punch; Murder in the Ring; Ripped Off; L’ Uomo Dalla
Pelle Dura. A young pre-Baretta Robert Blake (looking a
lot like John Cougar Mellencamp, complete with goat roper cowboy
hat) stars as a hardheaded boxer who’s framed for the murder of his
manager and winds up facing off with mob enforcer Tomas Milian. This
nasty knuckle duster from Franco Prosperi was released to U.S. video
in heavily edited form under the titles Counter Punch and
Ripped Off (which is how you’ll feel after seeing the choppy,
muddy transfer). This the UNCUT original version in great quality
with an additional 15 minutes of violence, gore and storyline.
BUY
THE TWILIGHT OF LOVE (77) aka The Night of the High
Tide; La Notte dell ’alta Marea. The beautiful Annie Belle
stars as a fashion model who casts her spell over a sixty-ish
advertising agency exec. Aware of the power she wields over him,
the platinum blonde pixie relentlessly prick teases him at every
turn. She tempts him while taking a bubble bath, thrusting her
pert breasts into his face at every opportunity. She even has
sex with her younger boyfriend in full view of him at a hotel
swimming pool! The frustrated exec retains her services for a
fashion shoot in the tropics, and heated emotions come to a full
boil when their camera crew winds up stranded on a deserted
island. One of the castaways is none other than Foxy Brown
herself, billed here as “Pamela Grier!” Carlo Ponti presents a
tale of love, lust and disco dollies set to a scintillating jazz
score.
BUY
TRANS EUROPE EXPRESS (68) Great looking French
language print of Alain Robbe-Grillet’s intricate, Chinese puzzle of
a movie. Set aboard a Paris train bound for Antwerp, the complex,
free form plot involves two parallel dimensions, one occupied by a
gangster played by Jean-Louis Trintignant, the other by a husband
and wife who are planning to make a crime drama entitled Trans
Europe Express starring... Jean-Louis Trintignant!
BUY
TURIN, HEADQUARTER OF VICE (78) aka Torino, Centrale del Vizio. Rare Italo trash ghost-directed by Renato Polselli. Letterboxed Italian language print in
fair quality. Not as cool as the catchy title may lead you to
believe.
BUY
TUSK (79) No, it's not a Fleetwood Mac video (even we're not
THAT sick). It's a rare early Alexandro Jodorowsky film about a
mystical elephant, starring Christopher Mitchum and future AIDS
casualty Anton Diffring. Goodish quality French language
print.
BUY
23 (98) aka 23 - Nichts ist so wie es Scheint
(Trans. 23 - Nothing is as it Seems). Gripping German
thriller based on the real life story of Karl Koch, a teenage
computer hacker who, inspired by the byzantine conspiracy theories
of the cult novel Illuminatus! and a lot of really good coke,
wound up selling military secrets to the KGB in East Berlin.
With a guest appearance by Robert Anton Wilson. Subtitled and
letterboxed.
